    CSHS Title V Program Specialist

    Welcome to the exciting opportunity at the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) in the Early Childhood and Family Support, Family and Community Health division.

    This role involves overseeing programs and projects funded under the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant. The specialist is tasked with creating and implementing state-wide public health initiatives to address local needs and federal funding requirements. Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing evidence-based public health policies and interventions
    • Establishing health surveillance and data collection systems for program evaluation
    • Coordinating strategic planning and stakeholder engagement
    • Organizing program outreach, training, and support activities

    Requirements for this Role

    • Proven expertise in public health practices, disease prevention, and control
    • Experience in researching and implementing public health interventions
    • Strong organizational abilities, capable of multitasking and handling tasks at various levels
    • Proficiency in program management
    • Excellent customer relationship management skills
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in health science, health education, behavioral or social science, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Two years of relevant experience in health programming or health education. Other combinations of education and experience will also be considered based on individual cases.
