    POSITION:
    Senior Construction Project Manager


    LOCATION:
    Clifton Park,


    NY

    SUMMARY:


    Our client, a family-owned commercial construction company, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to join their award-winning business in the Clifton Park,
    NYarea.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction project management and be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Determine and define scope of work and deliverables
    Prepare budgets, cost estimates, schedules and timelines
    Predict resources needed to complete projects
    Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory and legal prerequisites
    Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
    Manage costs in order to meet budget
    Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
    Manage construction schedule and activities
    Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
    Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
    Explain contract and technical matters in a clear manner
    Problem-solve to address delays, emergencies, or other issues


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Proven experience as a Project Manager (Preferred 5-10+ years' experience)
    Strong understanding of Concrete, Masonry, Carpentry, Metal Framing and Drywall Construction
    Exceptional time management skills, ability to estimate work effort and time needed for various construction jobs
    Willingness to travel within a 1-hour radius of Clifton Park to visit job sites
    Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
    Good writing skills for proposals and reports
    Excellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints
    Excellent communication and negotiating skills
    Well-organized and reliable
    BSc/BA in engineering, construction, or relevant field preferred. Will accept Associates Degree with relevant experience
    Understanding of scheduling software, MS Project or Primavera
    SCHEDULE &


    BENEFITS:
    Full-time, 40-hour work week, M-F
    Flexible work hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm / 8:00am – 5:00pm
    Primarily work in the office or onsite with the flexibility to work from home when needed
