The city of Cottbus/Chóśebuz is seeking a Project Assistant for the Department of Education and Integration, within the framework of the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Energy's funding program "Welcome to Brandenburg (WIB) - A Counseling Service for People with Migration Backgrounds".

This position is subject to funding approval and is available from January 1, 2023 until December 31, 2025.

Position:
Project Assistant - Welcome to Cottbus - International Students (m/f/d)

Employment type:
Part-time (14 hours/week) according to the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act

Weekly working hours:
Full-time


Responsibilities:
I. Counseling, support and assistance for international students

  • Digital and analog communication with the target group
  • Individual, specific and needsbased counseling
  • Support for recognition and qualification measures
  • Assistance with career development and overcoming complex problems with the goal of labor market integration
  • Individual and referral counseling
  • Counseling on residence law issues
II. Organization of events, information formats, workshops, German courses, etc.

  • Needs analysis
  • Appropriate planning and design of events, workshops, etc.
  • Search and acquisition of lecturers
III. Establishment of internship, work-study or observation formats

  • Communication and cooperation with authorities, institutions, organizations and companies
