Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication and basic arithmetic.
Ability to examine and evaluate data relating to a workers' compensation program; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to a workers' compensation program; ability to conduct fact finding investigation; handle telephone calls in a fast, courteous and effective manner; deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner; work independently; utilize problem solving techniques; plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; prepare and maintain reports; perform basic arithmetical calculations.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position assists workers' compensation specialists with reviewing and evaluating medical-only workers' compensation claims, processing and paying medical and legal bills associated with workers' compensation claims and reviewing workers' compensation First Report of Injury forms.
