For the Business Analytics & Strategic Planning team in the Finance FP&A department of Publishing Germany, we are looking for a Business Analyst / Controller (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg as soon as possible for a minimum of 6 months.

In the Business Analytics & Strategic Planning team, we work closely with the Publishing product and portfolio management as well as our CPO (Chief Product Officer). We are looking for a Business Analyst / Controller (m/f/d) who acts as a partner at eye level and advises management on decision-making for our Publishing products based on key figures. As the central point of contact for all financial questions and analyses, you will gain deep insights into our product portfolio and the market environment in your role. A major part of your tasks will be driving our transformation project S/4 Hana in our international finance organization.

Your tasks

  • You act as a Finance Business Partner (m/f/d) for the Publishing product and portfolio management department.
  • Creating mid-year forecasts and variance analyses are just as much part of your tasks as budget planning for selected product segments.
  • You validate and analyze monthly reporting, including commenting and presenting to management in English and German.
  • You can identify business opportunities and risks and derive recommendations for management, such as identifying potential for improving the profitability of products.
