    Academic Neurology Faculty Opportunity in California
    StartDate: ASAP

    Merritt Hawkins, the nations premier search firm has partnered with a major academic center in Northern California to invite you to consider the following general neurology opportunities. We are seeking General Neurologists interested in joining a growing academic health system. The ideal candidate will have an interest in providing general neurology patient care in a community-based setting as well as participating in main campus clinical responsibilities. This position offers an academic appointment, the opportunity to pursue sub-specialty and scholarly activity interests, great quality of life, and a competitive benefits package. The features of this opportunity include:

    Practice Details:
    • Academic faculty appointment at a major academic center
    • General Neurology with the opportunity to focus on sub-specialty interests
    • Four days per week direct patient careoutstanding quality of life
    • Spend time in a community based clinical setting as well as the main campus specialty clinic
    • No after-hours call or weekend responsibilities, inpatient duties are consult onlyone to two weeks per year
    • Patient-centered organization focused on quality patient carecollegial working environments
    • Opportunity to work alongside medical students and residents who rotate through the clinics
    • Participate in scholarly activity interests including education, mentorship, development of teaching programs and assessment tools, publications, and clinical research efforts
    • Comprehensive benefits offerings include health, dental, vision, disability, and life
    • 5 weeks of vacation, 13 paid holidays, 5 CME days and $2,500 CME allowance
    • Multiple retirement offerings including pension program, 403B, and 457B
