- Promote and sell league bowling and corporate and individual parties and events plus coordinate, book, plan and manage youth group events, Junior Leagues and packages at the Boardwalk Bowl.
- Perform Manager on Duty functions.
- Solicit, organize and coordinate bowling instructional classes and tournaments for all target groups.
- Train and supervise bowling coaches and instructors.
- Oversee the junior bowling director
- Complete and maintain reports and records.
- Train guests on techniques of bowling and present tours to specialized groups.
- Help run fundraisers at the bowl.
- Coordinate with outside agencies to help promote the Boardwalk Bowl.
- . Monitor pro shop inventory and order when needed or notify Director.
- Keep Pro Shop clean, especially in the guest area.
- . Monitor Pro Shop maintenance supplies and order as needed.
- Assist in other areas of the Bowl as needed.

- Knowledge of youth markets, marketing promotion activity and the techniques to create new markets and clients.
- Knowledge of league and tournament bowling.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with clients and deliver presentations to encourage new clientele and to close sales.
- Ability to work closely with all guests and establish cooperative relationships.
- Ability to ensure that the clients needs are met, that conflicts that arise are solved tactfully and effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to use a computer to access the mail system and generate reports using data bases, excel, word and print shop
- Ability to keep accurate records and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply policies, operating procedures and the facilities unique to the Seaside Company.

Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for promoting and selling league bowling and corporate and individual parties and events plus coordinating, booking, planning, and event managing youth group events and packages at the Boardwalk Bowl.
Develop and implement an active bowler retention and recruitment program and implement and promote special events and activities and address problems to ensure maximum return of existing bowlers.
Serves as the Manager on Duty responsible for the entire operation of the Boardwalk Bowl including closing MOD, security, emergency response, and guest services on assigned shifts.
Pro Shop Operator responsible for taking care of guests' needs. Must be proficient in creating the perfect fit for guests' hands. Must be proficient in drilling bowling balls - both the software of layout design and hardware of drilling equipment. Must also have skills in repairing bowling equipment, including plugging, resurfacing, and de-oiling bowling balls. Responsible for keeping abreast of bowling ball science and current products.UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to make effective presentations, close sales and organize and manage special promotions and events.
The Manager on Duty assignment requires decisions to be made firmly, rapidly and consistently ensuring the safe operation of the Boardwalk Bowl and the safety of Guests and Employees.
Able to work flexible shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

Taking care of guests needs in terms of equipment and lessons.
RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL:
All levels of SCSC employees.
RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL:
High volume of contact with clients via the telephone and in person.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of sales or related experience working with youth groups preferably in a recreation or entertainment environment.
Pro Shop Certification from International Bowling and Pro Shop and Instructions Association (IBPSIA).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
AND ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
LICENSES AND INSURANCE:
Possess and maintain a valid California U.S. Driver's License at the time of hire.
Required to maintain automobile liability coverage with a minimum of $15,000.00 bodily injury one person/$30,000.00 bodily injury total accident/$5,000.00 property damage coverage per California's minimum liability insurance requirements.
(Required if the employee will at anytime use own vehicle to perform company business functions.)TESTING:
