About this role:

Interfaces with Gartner's US Public Sector Sales organization, Finance organization and operating business units for the review and negotiation of contracts for the delivery of Gartner Research Advisory and Consulting services to clients in the US Public Sector (US Federal and State and Local Governments).

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring Gartner's compliance with its contractual, statutory and regulatory obligations under the Company's various government contracts (e.g., General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity and Blanket Purchase Agreements, etc.).

Cradle to grave contract administration. Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other US Government regulations.


What you'll do:


  • Manage Gartner's US Public Sector contracts and contractual relationships.
  • Support Gartner's US Public Sector Sales, Consulting and Events teams by providing strategic insight and contractual guidance with Request for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP) and other forms of solicitations for Gartner services; in terms of reviewing, preparing, communicating with management and negotiating with government clients. Interface/dialog with Gartner Sales teams and clients to discuss acquisition solutions. Deep understanding of the various types of Federal Government contract vehicles. Propose problem resolution in the support of Gartner's Sales teams and other business departments to resolve in a timely manner various contractual/business issue.
  • Experience with the GSA Schedule program in terms of preparing GSA Schedule offerings, communicating the nuances of the GSA Schedule program to internal stakeholders, administration to include, but not limited to, adding/deleting products/services; preparing and negotiating annual Economic Price Adjustments, managing GSA Contractor Assisted Visits and GSA Audits and performing compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct "issuespecific" and "new hire" contract training for the U.S. Public Sector Sales teams and other business departments.
  • Prepare and communicate internal/external reporting requirements.
  • Experience with various US Federal Government electronic databases (e.g., eBuy, AASBS/ITSS, System for Award Management (SAM), CPARS, etc.).
  • Assist with ancillary information requests related to contractual and business matters.

What you'll need:


  • Bachelor's Degree, with discipline in business management or similar.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of contracting experience dealing with various US Public Sector agencies
  • Working knowledge and understanding of FAR and DFARS.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with GSA Schedule contracts and other federal agency contract vehicles.
  • Expertise in the field of government contracts, strong negotiation skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certification(s) (i.e. CPCM, CFCM, etc.) preferred.
