    Description

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering OR 4 years related engineering experience
    • 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, inclusive of 1 year of PM experience

    Plusses:

    • Automotive experience
    • Experience coordinating construction sites
    • Knowledge of primary and secondary media (planning installation of electricity, network drops, compressed air, etc.)

    Day to Day:

    A large automotive manufacturer in the Upstate is looking for a Structure Engineer I to join their team. This individual will plan and coordinate structure related measures in assembly buildings (concrete foundations, tool steel installation, secondary media installation), interface between equipment and construction suppliers, plan, implement, and coordinate all equipment or porcess related secondary medial installations (compressed air, lighting, energy, IT, etc.). They will also coordinate shutdown activities, create RFQ documents, and create/track CRs if necessary.

    On a day to day basis, this individual will :

    • Meet with planners and suppliers to align details
    • Evaluation/checks of secondary medial layouts
    • Create porject plans to steer activies
    • Check and coordinate supplier activities during shutdowns
    • Meet with planners and create specifications to tender additional installations
    • Track project budgets
