The Maintenance Technician - Painter is responsible for maintaining facility painting and upkeep.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Essential Functions:
- Work with facility staff to complete facility work orders.
- Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Compliance Supervisor of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that may occur.
- Maintain paint supplies and cleaning of equipment.
- Properly prepare area for painting.
- Perform facility inspections to look for areas that may need painting improvement.
- Repair drywall as needed to prepare for painting.
- Maintain a professional, courteous manner with clients, vendors, contractors, and staff.
- Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
- Negative TB test.
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must provide reliable transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education & Experience:
- 1+ year related experience, and/or training
Work Environment:
- Fast paced behavioral health residential setting.
- Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor work may be requested.
Physical Demands:
- While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
- Valid AZ Driver's License.
- May include travel between sites and other locations.
- Local and state wide travel when requested or required.
