Position Summary:
The Clinical Aide (CA) primary responsibility is to assist clients with self
- administration of medication to clients, medication audits, working with Pharmacies and Doctor's offices to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and perform other duties as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with selfadministration of medications.
- Document all medications upon arrival to a facility and ensure all medications are returned to the client at time of discharge.
- Keep medications secured per policy and procedures.
- Perform routine and random medication audits to include proper documentation and accurate distributions/returns.
- Work with clients medical practitioners to have medication orders in client records.
- Work with organizational practitioners and university faculty to ensure all clients have a health screen and tuberculosis test within 7 days of admittance into the program.
- Work with other qualified staff members on medication policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR records systems.
- Current Finger Print Clearance Card.
- High School Diploma or GED, 1 to 3 months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current CPR/First Aid training.
- Current TB test.
- Current "Assistance with Self Administration of Medication" training.

- Current parole or probation
- While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
