    DUTIES:

    Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of business strategies and financial plans in collaboration as a key partner with merchant and financial leadership, taking the lead relative to inventory investment, product allocation, and supply chain management and efficiencies. Charged with building and supporting a top performing business planning team, identifying, developing, and supporting top talent and bench strength. Financially accountable for sales, gross margin, inventory, and stock turn of a nationwide retail organization.

    Oversees and directs the overall inventory procurement and management strategy of the business and implementation of functions such as: merchandise planning strategies, merchandise financial plans, sales and inventory projections, appraising and analyzing market offerings and trends, determining requirements, developing appropriate sources of supply that effect buying of merchandise, negotiating with vendors, publishing merchandising information and arranging for contracting/purchase action.

    This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and requires strong partnership and alignment with associated GMMs.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Minimum:

    1. Proven experience (15+ years) in merchandise planning, retail buying, or related roles within the retail industry
    2. 10+ years of management experience
    3. Proficiency in using merchandise planning software and tools.

    Preferred (in addition to the minimum):

    1. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting, financial analysis, and inventory management
    2. Experience in softlines, hardlines, home and or consumable products and brand as a business leader with expertise across a range of business driving functions i.e., Merchandising, Planning, and Allocation.
    3. Leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
    4. Proven track record in leading and managing organizational change, implementing new strategies, and driving adoption across teams
    5. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
