- Provide technical assistance to faculty and staff.
- Assist end users both by phone and in-person as needed.
- Sort, maintain, and complete service request tickets.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on a variety of computer systems.
- Image and re-image computers as well as assist end users with backup of locally stored data as needed.
- Provide assistance with computers, printers, scanners and other resources and devices as needed.
- Perform hard drive replacements, software installs, upgrades, printer installations and much more.
- May be asked to safely climb on ladders to install access points or assist with cabling projects.
- Other miscellaneous technology-related tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the IT field.
- Must be respectful, dependable, honest, discreet and patient with end users.
- Must have high degree of personal integrity.
- Must speak clearly on the phone.
- Must have a positive, upbeat, and courteous attitude.
- Must have accurate spelling and grammar, and the ability to communicate well in written form.

The Center includes Basic Science, Clinical Research, and Population and Public Health, enabling both focused research and translational science. Research at Pennington Biomedical is supported broadly by multiple NIH Research Centers, and includes approximately 65 faculty and 20 postdoctoral fellows who comprise a network of 44 laboratories and 13 highly specialized core service facilities. Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking an IT Analyst 1 in Computing Services.
The IT Analyst 1 will work with a small team of IT professionals to assist end users by addressing their desktop related needs via hands-on and remote support.
