- Represent clients in court or before government agencies
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Advise clients about immigration proceedings and criminal cases
- Communicate with prosecutors from the Office of Chief Counsel and various prosecutors offices in both Federal, Superior and State courts
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
- Must be licensed in Georgia
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently preferred
- Courtroom experience preferred with at least 2+ years appearing, preparing and submitting evidence/motions before EOIR and criminal courts in Georgia
- Attorney must have strong command of English language and be able to write legal briefs in English
- Knowledgeable and understands various immigration reliefs available to include: family petition process, consular processing, U-Visas, quasi cases (immigration court/administrative cases), cancellation of removal for legal permanent residents and non-legal permanent residents, and I-601 waivers
- Experience writing briefs based on extreme hardship for I-601A, Provisional Waivers and other waiver applications strongly encouraged
- Experience in researching various legal issues based on each case type, familiar with Westlaw, Kurzban and GA statutes and Immigration Nationality Act
- Attention to detail
- Punctual, organized and reliable
- Ability to use multiple forms of communication and technology to include: Google Drive, , Slack, email, text and phone

Qualifications:
You are the right attorney for this position if you have experience appearing in immigration court and/or criminal court. Courtroom experience essential for success in position. Further, you will experience with deportation /removal cases with the majority of the cases classified as Cancellation of Removal with minimal in other case categories. Law Firm handles only a limited amount of asylum cases. The right candidate will be capable of completing assignments on deadline, communicating effectively with clients in a timely manner and office support staff.
