    Our Client is a dynamic leader in the restaurant industry here in Chicago, looking to grow their team with a strong staff accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and interest in financial reporting along with a desire for consistent personal and professional development. With multiple restaurants across numerous concepts, the opportunity for professional growth is available for those who are ready to jump in

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare periodic balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, financial statements and other financial information for internal and external use to assess and review the financial position of the company or assigned stores
    • Collect, analyze and present financial information to the management team identifying risks and opportunities to aid the team in meeting their specific goals
    • Assist departments with annual budget review and preparation
    • Participate in monthly financial reviews - identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
    • Assist with sales, use, liquor and other state and local tax filings on a monthly basis for each restaurant and support sales & use tax audits as needed
    • Produce ad-hoc reports
    • Assist store managers and operations with accounting related inquiries
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes
