_


The Junior Accountant is responsible for recording journal entries, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, and updating and preparing financial statements.

Supports the Accounting/Finance department by completing tasks that include day-to-day accounting and month-end closing process to ensure all transactions are complete and accurate.

Follows generally accepted accounting principles and adheres to Forth's policies and procedures.


_Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:_

COMMON CORE ROLES

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections.
  • Ensures timely payment of invoices and validity of requests.
  • Updating financial records via CRM, QuickBooks, or other software.
  • Maintaining journals, ledgers, and other accounting records and source documents.
  • Responsible for preparing reconciliation of Forth bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis (as applicable) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure reconciled items are explained, understood, and cleared as quickly as possible, but no later than 30 days from the date the item appeared on the reconciliation.
  • Ensure research, monitoring, and reporting are completed on outstanding items on reconciliations.
  • Scan, download, and maintain records for record retention.
  • Preparation of work papers and supporting schedules as needed internally, third parties, auditors, or examiners.
  • Preparation of necessary regulatory filings.
  • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures and complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Secures financial information by keeping information confidential.
  • Compliance with federal and state regulations and all established internal and bank policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as requested.

  • Support and promote the company's mission, core values, organizational structure, and policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with company officers, managers, coworkers, vendors, or thirdparty relationships.

  • Perform daily duties per Forth Inc's Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that Information Confidentiality, Integrity, and Privacy are always maintained when processing information assets.
  • Ensures excellent customer service delivery to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
