Under the direction of a Plant Manager, the Production Manager directs the daily operations of the blow-molding facility to ensure efficiency and safety, while ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate activities to establish production requirements and prepare production plans to meet customer needs.
Forecast weekly resin requirements based on customer demand and communicate with corporate purchasing.
Analyze customer requirements to optimize equipment and personnel utilization.
Maintain inventory of raw materials, finished goods, resin, color, consumables, and regrind/lump.
Establish tracking systems to measure on-time delivery.
Support customer service, sales representatives, and plant leaders with work order status.
Manage company and plant capacity models for production lines.
Conduct month-end inventory processes and recommend ideas for inventory reduction.
Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
Manage plant plant budget and submit to the corporate office.
Qualifications:
Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
