    Description

    Job Title: Corporate Accountant - Transition from Public Accounting
    Location: Novi, MI (Mostly Remote, Onsite 2 Days/week)
    Position Overview: We are actively seeking both Staff and Senior Staff Accountants with a background in audit/assurance from public accounting. This is a unique opportunity to break into corporate accounting, learn full-cycle accounting, and bid farewell to the audit world. The interview process is quick and easy, with just one step.
    Responsibilities:
    • Compile and analyze financial information, ensuring timely entries to general ledger accounts.
    • Play a key supporting role in the month-end close process.
    • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, analyze general ledger accounts, and provide monthly variance analysis.
    • Compile and prepare forecasts and budgets.
    • Investigate and prepare explanations of account variances.
    • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies and procedures.
    • Analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports as needed.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
    • Understanding of GAAP principles.
    • 2+ years of public accounting experience (Staff Accountant) or 3+ years for Senior Staff Accountant (Big 4 experience not required).
    • CPA is a nice-to-have but not required.
