    Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager - Nutraceuticals to join our North American Nutraceuticals Sales Team. This is a very visible and significant role within the Company and the Sales function.

    This position will report to Sales Director, Nutraceuticals and will be based on the West Coast, ideally in California or Utah.

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Assuming account responsibility for Nutraceutical accounts in the territory

    Promoting and selling the Ashland range of Nutraceuticals custom blends, full turnkey products, branded and specialty ingredients, and technologies in a variety of vertical segments.

    Negotiating commercial terms including pricing and supply contracts
    Prospecting for new business opportunities
    Attending tradeshows and conferences
    Ability to travel up to 60% of the time for sales calls, conferences, and meetings
    Developing a robust opportunity pipeline
    Maintaining all records within

    In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

    Bachelors degree in a technical field OR a minimum of 10 years active sales account experience in an FDA regulated industry such as Nutra/Pharma ingredients
    A minimum of five years of successful technical selling experience in Nutraceuticals and/or contract manufacturing ingredients environment
    Strong oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
    The ability to prospect and network at the accounts to establish new growth opportunities
    The ability to relate to all levels in an organization
    Full, clean drivers license

    The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :

    MBA preferred

    Salary range for this position is $118,900 to $164,900 depending upon experience and location.
