    We are searching for an

    Applications Developer

    to add to our growing team. The Applications Developer is responsible for identifying, creating and applying software development and security standards and process.

    The IT Application Developer provides technical subject matter expertise in functional analysis, business analysis and others to assist in the review of the solution, including architecture, code, refactoring, conceptualization, as well as implementation activities.

    This is a full-time salary, exempt position, with a starting salary of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.


    Location:
    Portland, OR; or Vancouver, WA metro areas.
    Local candidates are preferred

    Key Job Information


    Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Salesforce methodologies, using FLOW, Apex and Lightening Web Components, which can be managed and maintained within the budget and resources available.

    Implementation experience with Salesforce API's, using Rest/JSON, JWT, OAuth and other standards between Salesforce and external systems.
    Assist with migrations between Salesforce and external systems developing code as needed.
    Maintain internal library of reusable code for future project deployments.

    Review project requirements and work with Solution Architects, consultants and project managers, as assigned, to refine the technical details of project specifications.

    Develop and document user instructions and administrative maintenance requirements for use in Salesforce customizations.
    Contribute to the development of additional products and services, such as NetSuite.
    Essential Functions

    Programming/Software Development – Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors moderately complex programs/scripts. Applies agreed upon standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Monitors and reports on progress. Identifies issues related to software development activities. Proposes practical solutions to resolve issues. Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate.

    Systems Integration and Build – Defines the software modules needed for an integration build and produces a build definition for each generation of the software.

    Accepts completed software modules, ensuring that they meet defined criteria. Produces software builds from software source code for loading onto target hardware. Configures the hardware and software environment as required by the system being integrated. Produces integration test specifications, conducts tests and records and reports on outcomes. Diagnoses faults and records and reports on the results of tests. Produces system integration reports.

    Testing – Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes.

    Participates in requirement, design and specification reviews and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions. Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing. Automates testing tasks and builds test coverage through existing or new infrastructure. Analysis and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks.

    Incident Management – Provides first line investigation and gathers information to enable incident resolution and allocate incidents, as well as administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of the connected platform.

    Advises relevant persons of actions taken.
    Education & Experience

    Typically, a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    Typically, two (2) or more years in related field.
    ITIL v3 Certification a plus
    Experience working in a customer service provider environment a plus.
    Experience working with Cloud services, such as: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
    Experience working with code repositories, such as GitHub and GitLab.
    Experience working with automation tools, such as CI/CD tool chains and DevOps concepts.
    Knowledge of current security/risk concepts such as system hardening, encryption standards, key management and Multi-factor Authentication.
    Experience working with ETL tools.
    Experience engaging in projects with technical and cross-functional components / dependencies.
    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

    Ability to successfully collaborate with peers, managers and others both internal and external of the organization
    Demonstrated experience with program/project processes using Agile, Waterfall and project management frameworks.
    Working knowledge of software development frameworks and configurations.
    Understanding of compute and storage, information management, risk and identity management, as well as networking concepts.

    Proactive customer response notification of service and core system issues, as well as ongoing updates as needed, in a diligently, deliberately and timely manner.

    Document all work performed in a comprehensive ticketing and document management system.

    Monitor, Operate and Administer including:

    setting up new users as needed within an Active Directory environment; user maintenance; workflow rules; organization-wide defaults; permissions; role hierarchy; platform customizations, such as: field, page layouts and etc.; creating reports and dashboards, as well as security and data management.

    Develop and use DEV environments to diagnose system issues or provide system performance reviews.
    Available to assist in responding to service related issues and related restoration activities.
    Diligent in follow-up activities.
