As an Intern CXL Media System Validation (MSV) Product Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you are part of a team working on the latest groundbreaking memory interface technology (Compute Express Link) that is changing the world of computing as we know it.
Our goal to offer hands-on and meaningful engineering projects that allows interns to gain valuable experience with DRAM technology, memory systems and the product life cycle while adding impact to Micron's business.
Our intern programs help prepare engineers for future roles and offer an outstanding experience that supplements your academic experience You will work with teams such as DRAM PE, System test, Global Quality, PCB design, as well as system enablers outside of Micron.
Your day-to-day functions may include system bring-up of new CXL drives, root-causing of issues to the correct level of the drive, developing new test methodologies, analyzing, and interpreting data, crafting custom tools, and presenting data to customers.
This requires you to be flexible in your working hours.This Product Engineer role is essential to Micron as it serves the company's charter to produce the most innovative and differentiated CXL products.
This position is for a 3- or 6-months internship.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Carryout media-system validations on CXL memory module + Define, develop, and implement validation plans in C/C++ and/or Python. + Define and Automate data collection process for given problem statements. + Driving innovation into the future CXL Memory generations based on findings. + Evaluate power and performance based on Benchmark and In-house workloads. + Collaborate with firmware validation teams to bring in issues and root cause them.
Preferred Skills:
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Course work in 2 or more of VLSI, Python/C/C++ programming, embedded system, computer architecture and memory systems is desirable, but not required. + Ability to write validation tests in Python and C/C++. + Understanding of version control software, but not required. + Hands-on experience in using oscilloscopes, microcontrollers, embedded systems, I2C, etc are desirable, but not required. + Familiarity with Linux operating system and shell scripting. + The ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced team environment. + Excellent communication skills. + Self-motivation and enthusiasm. + Strong interpersonal skills and maintain positive relationships. + Ambitious and goal oriented + Collaborate optimally in a dynamic team environment.
Education Requirement & eligibility:
