We Are Hiring Part Time Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians in the Sacramento Area

  • Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, the Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for working with at-risk and/or children with disabilities in a clinic/in-home setting.

- Clinic Sessions: Citrus Heights

  • In-Home Sessions: Based on where you're located we have clients throughout Sacramento/ Elk Grove
  • Mileage is reimbursed

Who We Are: Point Quest Pediatrics focuses on providing meaningful and functional behavioral, mental health, and speech and language services to students ages 5 to 22 years of age. Jabbergym strives to equip each student with the skills and strategies needed to successfully execute their academic program in the least restrictive environment possible. Jabbergym partners with contracting school districts, in-home care, and having our own clinic to assist them in serving their students who qualify for services and assessments as outlined in the student's IEP.

Overtime Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Part-time

Location: 4380 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95841 AND In-home with our clients

Salary Range: $18.00-$26.00 /hr (Based on experience/ Credential)

Behavior Technician: $21.50

Registered Behavior Technician: $26.00

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working in a school or treatment setting for students with learning, social, emotional, or mental disabilities.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification helpful

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position focuses on Data Collection, Implementing ABA Techniques, and Data Entry into behavior tracking systems
  • Helps prepare materials for instructions when needed including data sheets and any visual supports
  • Prepares for a session in advance to have materials readily available to for specific client goals
  • Applies the principles and methodologies of ABA for the purpose of increasing or decreasing targeted student behaviors
  • Responsible for maintaining and tracking RBT hours and meeting supervision requirements and established by the BACB
  • Accurately record data on student behavior in real time. Data collection may include ABC, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and session notes.
  • Proficient in the use of CPI
  • Able to understand and implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
  • Proficient in writing Behavior Emergency Reports (BER) Special Incident Reports (SIR) and injury reporting, if applicable.
  • Maintains consistent awareness of clients' whereabouts to ensure safety, including directing clients to appropriate areas.
  • Confers with agency staff on student status or the need for additional behavior planning.
  • Responds to emergency or crisis situations (e.g., injured student, fights, seizures, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns may include implementation of CPI if necessary
  • Must be flexible to report to a different location/student within the assigned region, if applicable
  • Responds quickly and effectively to requests made by Supervisors/BCBAs
  • May help train new behavior technicians
  • Work closely with BCBA to obtain hours needed to maintain registration
  • Attends training and meetings as requested
  • Participates in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes for students when asked
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must obtain a current RBT certification (Can obtain through Point Quest if not already certified):
  • High School Diploma, equivalent or two-year degree, or equivalent combinations of training and experience
  • Minimum 12 years of experience working in a treatment setting for students with learning, social, emotional, or mental disabilities
  • Must have valid Registered Behavior Technician certification through BACB throughout your employment
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & exclusion lists
  • TB Clearance & physical exam
  • CPI, CPR, and First aid certification helpful
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of standard business practices and procedures
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Problemsolving ability and proven accuracy with detailed information
  • Proficient written and verbal English language communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manner
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility
  • Flexible part-time hours evenings and Saturdays
