Building Engineer

Direct Hire; $35 per hour ($72,800 per year)

Berwyn, PA 19312

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday)

JOB SUMMARY

Utilize advanced skills to perform preventive maintenance and repair of building systems
Monitor building system operations and performance
Utilize trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrated proficiency in using current technology tools
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Maintain a courteous rapport with customers
Operate and troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls
Complete maintenance and repair records
After-hours emergency response
Operate building systems like access and lighting controls, fire and life safety systems
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks
Interact professionally with tenant Facility personnel and service providers
Resolve tenants' service calls

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

SMA Engineering Course (Recommended)
BOMA Engineering School (Recommended)
High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of related experience/trade school training

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Physically able to perform job requirements like climbing, bending, lifting, working at heights
Available for occasional overtime and on-call emergency response
Pass background screen and drug test
Familiar with BAS systems
Mechanical aptitude, CFC License/EPA 609 Universal
3-5 years of commercial building maintenance experience
Customer service, communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency
