    Accounting Project Manager / CPA Nice to have/ Law Firm experienced candidates highly sought

    Summary:
    The Project Manager will support the Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager.

    The Project Manager will oversee the managing of various projects and will collaborate with various levels throughout the organization and individuals across the Firm's offices.

    The Project Manager will engage on projects in areas including:
    Vendor Management, new office openings, construction project financial management, and procurement analysis .

    The Project Manager will also be involved in performing economic reviews and developing process improvements at both the Firm and office levels.

    They will interact most frequently with a team of 5-10 others (PMs, Senior PMs, Analysts, etc.).


    Additional highlights:

    • this team oversees sustainability reporting at Law Firm (collecting data related to our firm's carbon emissions footprint); they also focus on real estate (such as the opening and closing of offices, etc.)
    • typically sought out by the CFO and other leadership for projects, focus is on detailed financial analysis

    Responsibilities:
    Manage projects of varying size and complexity from beginning to completion.

    Analysis and management of key vendor relationships including the evaluation of the cost of services and the identification of cost savings opportunities.

    Assist with contract negotiation for key vendors and perform contract reviews including the evaluation of pricing and contract terms.

    Assist in managing the Firm's construction projects including working with administrators and consultants to effectively budget and report on the cost of the Firm's construction projects.

    Support the budgeting and fixed asset needs of the accounting department.
    Oversight and implementation of various Firm and office initiatives.
    Manage and facilitate information requests.
    Perform various types of analysis to support Firm management and decision making - including: economic, cost/benefit and profitability.

    Ability to travel on an occasional basis (5%) and in some instances for an extended period of time for certain projects.

    Ideal Candidate
    4-5 years of professional experience
    Public accounting, consulting backgrounds
    Strong client-service skills, able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the firm
    Strongly motivated/takes initiative; able to take accountability, fully own and execute
    Detailed-oriented, but able to balance and keep the big picture (overall strategy/vision) in mind

    Preferred :
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    Public Accounting or Consulting experience
    Previous experience working with clients desired
