Summary:

SPACE Camp Counselors provide general support for teachers and students within the camp setting. Hours of work are 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, with a half hour lunch break.

Qualifications:

Experience in a camp setting or experience working with children

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):

• Support lower school co-teachers or upper school head teacher in classrooms
• Engage and support students within the classroom environment to complement the classroom theme
• Help to support student and teacher enthusiasm and excitement for the activities within the camp setting
• Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
• Responsible for implementing "other job related duties" as needed.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a school/classroom environment, as well as outdoors. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel.
• Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
