Hosting legendary figures like Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin, the hotel offers a unique glimpse into Hollywood's illustrious past, providing an authentic experience that resonates with its rich history and legacy.

    Position Summary

    The Banquet Cook role is crucial for ensuring the flawless preparation of hot and cold dishes, ranging from appetizers to various types of meats, fish, and vegetables. This full-time position demands flexibility in scheduling.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set up stations following hotel standards and recipes
    • Estimate food requirements and coordinate food procurement
    • Regulate cooking temperatures as needed
    • Prepare various dishes according to recipes
    • Ensure proper seasoning and tasting of foods
    • Follow health and safety protocols
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
    • Adhere to presentation standards set by the Chef
    • Handle food preparation tasks efficiently
    • Utilize kitchen equipment effectively
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Kitchen Knowledge

    Proficiency in professional cooking and knife handling

    Understanding of safety and sanitation procedures

    Efficient use of kitchen tools and equipment

    Education and Work Experience

    Minimum of five years experience in the specified area

    Preference for additional experience in high-volume settings

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

    Current CA Food Handler's Card required

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    No supervisory duties

    Physical Demands

    Requirements include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds

    Qualifications

    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

    Ability to multitask and work flexible schedules

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

    Reasoning Ability and Computer Skills

    Ability to follow instructions and resolve basic issues

    Work Environment

    Exposure to outdoor conditions and loud noise levels
