About the RoleThe Director, HR Business Partner will provide strategic HR leadership and partnership to the global Advertising and Delivery Commercial Operations organizations and act as a key partner for the leadership teams for these organizations.
This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a talent strategy to accomplish the team's strategic objectives and goals.
This role will be instrumental in crafting a cohesive, world-class Sales culture across Uber, beyond the boundaries of the Ads and Commercial Operations Teams.

Someone who is not afraid to disagree with our internal clients but does so with integrity and grace.It's important that our Director have solid knowledge and direct experience with a successful Sales function and a keen understanding of what it takes to effectively partner with sales leaders to drive business success through our most important resource - our people.- Develop a deep understanding of the global Advertising and Delivery Commercial Operations organizations, and build relationships and rapport with business leaders to strategically influence and provide expert-level consultation and solutions- Use influence and business insight to mentor senior business leaders, enabling the teams to thrive in the broader Uber ecosystem- Partner with Uber Delivery and Ads Leaders and the broader Mobility and Delivery HR team to build and maintain a world-class Sales organization at Uber, with a focus on transforming Commercial Operations, in partnership with our Delivery Sales organization- Develop and implement the talent strategy that aligns to and moves the business goals and objectives forward, focused on attracting, retaining, engaging, and developing our talent while minimizing HR/Organizational risk- Build compelling narratives and influence senior leaders to create comprehensive, 'outcome where everybody wins' solutions for the business and employee experience by using analytics and insights- Advise on efficient org design and development to facilitate current and future business goals- Provide an "outside of the box" perspective to the subject matter authorities you're embedded with, including Sales, and ensure that our Uber people strategies are driven by business needs and actioned in alignment with business-specific work- Identify and mobilize Sales/Business efficiency by helping to identify what is missing, what is not working, and where our strategy is not aligned with Sales goals/incentives- Executive coaching for Senior Leadership Teams helping individuals reach their full potential and supporting the team efficiency with skilled facilitation- Defining unique Sales Learning & Development strategy in partnership with PD, Sales Enablement, and other Sales HRPs to ensure we have world-class training and development which is a core part of value prop to team and enables better business outcomes- Be a steward of our cultural values, as well as continually drive diversity, equity, and inclusionBasic Qualifications- Minimum 12+ years professional, related experience- Experience in a role supporting a sales organization and strategic partnership with executive leadership within a Sales and Sales Operations function- Experience supporting global teamsPreferred Qualifications- Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment- Competence in making timely, effective, and principles-based decisions using excellent judgment to weigh inputs from multiple team members and effectively handling tradeoffs, then aligning stakeholders to those decisions- Deep business acumen to understand, anticipate, and solve business needs- A track record of providing HR consultation and coaching to senior leadership on critical initiatives- Solid understanding of global HR programs, including compensation, performance management, organizational structure, and leadership development- Strong analytical capabilities or prior experience working in analytical functions like compensation or people analytics- Understanding of various employment laws and their impact on HR matters- Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR- Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence- High EQ, personal maturity, cultural awareness, and compassion- Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills- Knowledge and experience in Sales businesses and familiarity with their global HR practices and policiesAbout the TeamUber's People & Places (P&P) team handles everything people-related so that our employees worldwide are empowered to do their best work.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per yearFor New York, NY-based roles:

The base salary range for this role is USD$225,000 per year - USD$250,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
