- Serve as a liaison between potential customers and WITRON's design center in Germany
- Work with potential customers to define design requirements and collect data
- Work with colleagues to analyze data and present analysis results to potential customers
- Present designs to potential customers
- Assist in project hand-over to project management team once a contract has been signed
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a customer-facing technical role
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation and/or warehouse operations
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with financial justification techniques and concepts
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Knowledge of German language helpful but not required
- During the initial training phase, the D&S Engineer will spend intermittent periods of several weeks or months at WITRON Headquarters in Parkstein, Germany
- Availability to travel frequently to various locations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe
