The municipality of Kastellaun is seeking to fill the newly created position of Technical Manager of the Wastewater Plant in the Department of Finance and Municipal Services, starting as soon as possible.

Kastellaun has a population of approximately 16,000 and is centrally located between the Middle Rhine and Lower Moselle in the northern part of the Hunsrück region.

The municipality includes a total of 35 villages and districts, with the largest being the city of Kastellaun with approximately 5,500 inhabitants.

With its diverse retail, numerous restaurants and accommodation facilities, and comprehensive school offerings, the city serves as the economic and cultural center of the municipality.

The Wastewater Plant of the municipality of Kastellaun is responsible for the wastewater disposal of 35 districts in 19 villages.

The plant is located in the town hall of the municipality of Kastellaun, with the main sewage treatment plant being the Deimerbach Group Sewage Treatment Plant in the valley near the villages of Uhler and Roth.

The Wastewater Plant maintains 12 sewage treatment plants, 12 pumping stations, 51 km of connecting sewers/pressure pipes, 158 km of local sewers, and approximately 7,900 house connections.
