Description
**Position Summary** :
We are looking for a Senior Buyer within our Global Supply Chain organization. You will have strong internal stakeholder engagement and management skills, including at a country, regional and global operations level. The role will require you to understand both site and global needs from a purchasing as well as planning perspective. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
**Responsibilities:**
o Advanced knowledge of Global Supply Chain, combining functional and technical expertise to impact customer experience
o Cross-functional collaboration skills with touchpoint functions such as Marketing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Finance, Legal and customer service
o Generate the most suitable purchasing arrangement such as contracts, blanket orders and vendor stocking arrangements to streamline and obtain optimum pricing. Convert requisitions, prepare and issue purchase orders, expedite deliveries, resolve payment issues
o Manages and contributes to site / functional level cost reduction initiatives via value engineering, cost negotiation and resourcing efforts.
o Understanding of reporting and key metrics at the global level, ability to perform comprehensive data analysis; ability to drive actions and decisions, & proactive risk management.
o Reviews, resolves and escalates issues that impact global supply.
o Creates and supports network distribution strategy for new product launches.
o Ensures distribution schedule adherence, assists with timely implementation of new product launches, and ensures effective inventory management.
o Work within a strong Quality System [ISO 13485] to improve systems and maintain high standards
o Assist with supplier audits as required
**Requirements:**
o Proven practical experience purchasing in a manufacturing/scientific research environment
o Thorough knowledge of procurement, vendor relations, material planning and inventory management
o Familiar with GMPs, product specifications incoming inspection procedures
o Effective verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
o Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
o Strong influencing and negotiating skills
o Demonstrated experience using MRP systems (ideally SAP), word processing, spreadsheets, project management, etc.
o Must be willing and able to travel
o CPIM or CPM certification desirable
o Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates and have strong interpersonal skills
o A desire to be a part of highly motivated team in a fast pace dynamic environment
o In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.

**Education:**
o Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
