    General Summary :


    ES3 has an immediate opening in our corporate San Diego, CA office location for an experienced Buyer with 3+ years of professional experience in Government procurement or related fields and who has a working knowledge of purchasing activities in support of Government contracts.

    The ideal candidate will be capable of linking proposal requirements with supporting documentation in order to assist with source justification, price analyses and proposal documentation.

    They must be able to work after hours when needed to support proposal deadlines.

    The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new tasks and pivot to changing priorities and workflow demands, self-motivated, comfortable working side-by-side with senior leadership, different functional departments, field and Purchasing staff.

    Must be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, and Excel, be organized and very detail oriented.

    Must be able to work independently or in a team environment.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Review purchase requisitions and convert them to complete purchase orders/subcontract files within commitment dates.
    Timely review of order confirmations from vendors, update correct pricing in the system.
    Work with internal customers and external suppliers to resolve issues related to purchased materials, including

    product/material/service

    quality, invoices and returns.
    Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing, payment, and terms.
    Maintain and update procurement files in internal electronic record systems and QuickBooks.
    Conduct market research, source, and price justification, for new services/product and historical research for previously procured services/products
    Strong communication skills - written and verbal, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

    Skills and Abilities Required:

    Experienced in working with senior leadership, different functional departments, and field staff.
    Other Requirements

    :

    Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
    3 or more years of Procurement experience
    1 year in purchasing or accounting within a government contracting environment a plus
    Supervisory Duties:
