    About the Team:

    We are looking for a FP&A Revenue Accountant who will analyze and report on revenue-related data, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will have a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for diving into complex financial data.

    Responsibilities:
    • Analyze revenue data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
    • Prepare detailed revenue reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with teams to gather data and provide insights for revenue forecasting and planning.
    • Monitor revenue streams and investigate discrepancies or variances.
    • Assist in revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASC 606).
    • Participate in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of revenue analytics processes.
    • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the finance team.
    • Inspire creativity at reporting level with important systems
    Qualifications:
    • You must reside in the NY Metro area and be able to work in our Manhattan office 2 days per week
    • Ability to analyze sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition according to GAAP/IFRS Accounting Standards
    • Research and resolve complex accounting issues related to revenue recognition
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SalesForce, Workday, Tableau) and advanced MS Excel skills.
    • Experience with revenue automation tools.
    • Ability to inspire creativity at the reporting level.
    Your Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance or Data
    • Experience at a global SaaS company preferred or enterprise software company with many multiple element arrangements
    • CPA or CPA candidate encouraged
    The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $66,000 to $88,000.

    Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.     Medidata follows a hybrid office policy in which employees who live within 25 miles of a Medidata office are expected to work on site a certain number of days per week (with the specific in-office days to be designated by your team). On July 8, 2024, employees will be expected to work on site at least 2 days per week. This will increase to at least 3 days per week beginning January 2, 2025.
