I am a NYC based Black, queer, storyteller. “The Hidden Gems” is the name of my blog that is dedicated to giving local artists a platform to be heard, seen, and felt. Writing has always been my way of dealing with life and I enjoy the creative freedom that comes with it. I write poetry, short stories, how-to-guides, make PowerPoints, lesson plans, and blog in my free time. Feel free to shoot me a message about any creative projects you're embarking on !

Experience

Began as a summer camp counselor, who grew a love for food and ventured into the restaurant world, later returning to school to finish up my bachelor's in psychology. I got service learning experience, was a youth facilitator one summer, spent another summer working with youth at the aquarium and eventually landed a position as a youth advisor with a really cool organization. 

Education

I recently graduated from Brooklyn College, let's go Bulldogs ! I enjoy learning and my undergraduate experience consisted of courses in psychology, anthropology, art, music, sociology, creative writing, research seminars and eventually a concentration in neuroscience.
