I have 13 years of Hospice Administrator experience.  I conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.  I direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel.  I maintain communication between governing boards, medical staff, and department heads by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.  Review and analyze facility activities and data to aid planning and risk management and to improve service utilization.  I plan, implement and administer programs and services in a health care or medical facility, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of medical, nursing and physical plant staff.  Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel.  Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.  Develope and maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data such as personnel activities and information, and to produce reports.  Establish objectives and evaluate or operational criteria for units they manage.  Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the facility.  Consult with medical, business, and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs.  Direct programs through delegation to supervisory staff to ensure appropriate admission, discharge, supervision and provision of service to clients.  Assures that all service types are provided under the supervision and direction of a physician or registered nurse.  Ensures appropriate,  accurate and timely A/P, A/R, payroll and billing procedures.  Ensure that interdisciplinary care team meetings are held for continual updating of client care plans, exchange of information and problem solving, in formulation with the company’s goals, objectives and related policies and procedures.  Monitors compliance with Federal and State regulatory agencies.  I understand facility contracting and physical billing.  I understand how diagnosis mix affects profitability.  I create a positive image between co-workers.  Provide role modeling of team work, accountability and positive attitude.  I am able to provide all billing and coding at admission, death and consecutive monthly appropriateness.  Full knowledge of HIS, CAHPS reporting and it’s importance.  I can pull PS&R and calculate CAP.  I also send the quarterly CMS-838 Credit Balance reports.
