Senior Drilling Engineer Contracts & Equipment Advisor, reporting to the Drilling Engineering Manager& Organizational Capability Manager in Angola and oversaw the Drilling and Completions purchasing, contracting, inventory, equipment, safety, and category management initiatives within the Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit (SASBU) encompassing 12 major contracts with an annual spend of approximately $400 million dollars per year. Directed operational requirements through a good procurement process and maintains resilient vendor relationships, drawing on sharp negotiation tactics to find the most cost-effective rates such as proposing and qualifying a casing alternative at half the present cost per unit including technical evaluation and endorsement.
