Experience
I worked in research for CUNY CDI with a focus is on ground-level ozone, which is a harmful air pollutant formed through the interaction of sunlight, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds. The impacts of ground-level ozone on human health and the environment are discussed. We explore the frontiers of ozone pollution, highlighting emerging research and challenges in understanding and mitigating ozone pollution. Tropospheric ozone, which is primarily formed through complex photochemical reactions involving precursor pollutants, is also examined. The paper delves into ambient concentrations and air quality standards for ozone, addressing the levels of ozone that are considered safe for human health. Additionally, the organic structure of ozone and its resonance structures are discussed thus, providing insights into the molecular composition and stability of ozone.
