Taylor Middleton

My name is Taylor Middleton and I have been in land surveying for six years. I have worked under many licensed surveyors and learned the trade through hands-on experience on a wide range of projects. I know how to set up and operate a total station with accuracy and precision. I can run a data collector, use the proper codes, and work confidently with AutoCAD. I am comfortable on the instrument and on the rod and I always come prepared with the tools needed to get the job done the right way.

Throughout my career I have surveyed at Arlington National Cemetery, Lakeview in Moyock, Kingston Estates in Virginia Beach, Moores Point in Suffolk, and many green clean car wash sites. I have experience with boundary work, topographic surveys, construction layout, and residential stakeouts across the 757 area.

I take pride in being reliable and hardworking. I follow instructions, I work well with any Party Chief, and I stay focused on accuracy and professionalism. Surveying is a trade I know well and I am committed to representing any crew with skill and dedication.

Professionally I am dependable, focused, and willing to follow direction from any Party Chief. I come prepared, I work hard, and I make sure my measurements and setups are accurate. Surveying is something I take pride in because I understand how important our work is to every project we touch.

I also studied civil engineering at Tidewater Community College where I completed GIS coursework and read a full GIS textbook as part of the program. That class gave me a strong understanding of mapping systems, spatial data, and how GIS supports land development and surveying projects. During my time at TCC I also did AutoCAD work for civil engineering assignments, which helped me understand plan reading, linework, drafting standards, and how field data ties directly into office design work. The combination of GIS knowledge and hands-on AutoCAD experience strengthened my skills as a surveyor and gave me a deeper understanding of how our field and office work connect on real projects.
