Master's of Film and Media studies student, writing my thesis on 1970s Ingmar Bergman films that deal with themes of women's illness and disability. Working as a Graduate Research Assistant with narratives surrounding motherhood in East Asian and U.S. film and television.
I completed the requirements for my BA, Magma Cum Laude, in August of 2024, and worked diligently to excel in my studies, becoming a Student Scholar Ambassador Center of Undergraduate Excellent as well as being an editor for the 2022 special edition of Film Matters undergraduate peer reviewed magazine as well as taking this back up in Spring 2024. My research has been both presented at a number of undergraduate & graduate conferences as well as published; these experiences have assisted in building an aptness toward public speaking and congeniality as well as practicing clarity and conciseness in my writing.
With in-depth experience in both researching, administrative assistance, and writing/editing, I hope to find a fast-paced career in entertainment that maximizes my ability to flex these skills in a space where I can additionally demonstrate my expansive knowledge and passion of film and television as mediums and spaces inviting cultural, social, psychological, and economic-based discourses.
Other than my school and work, I am a devoted cat mom to Dirk (yes, after the actor Dirk Bogarde) that loves to explore film and media history (TCM is king) as well as burying my face in a book (preferably on the beach).
