    -Managed department operations and personnel that consisted of over 700 individuals such as department managers (3), project managers (10), department supervisors (10), tradespersons (135+), building custodial employees (500+) and other support staff (10+) through leadership to achieve department goals
    -Solicited additional construction trades and custodial services through contract labor as needed within procurement processes to maintain safety and cleanliness of facilities in the district
    -Crafted an annual $29M operation budget for the department including staffing, services, supplies, materials, etc. and a $28M utility budget including natural gas, electricity, water services, sanitation, waste, recycling, etc.
    -Compiled a deferred maintenance list for roofs, fire alarm systems, boilers, windows, etc. then established a long term capital improvement plan for over 150 facilities with a computerized management system (Assetworks) to monitor repair tasks and efficiencies with Key Point Indicators (KPI) between custodial staff and tradespersons or contracted construction projects
    -Involved with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and utilized utility savings to fund capital improvement projects that addressed sustainability measures to enhance the facility environments for the occupants and save energy costs
    -Worked with administrators, community partners, public officials, the City Attorney, labor union representatives, other stakeholders, etc. through a unified effort to improve communication and relationships across the city and the district
    -Familiarized with American Disabilities Act (ADA) and code mandates for the district while being the Designated Person for the district adhering to Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act (AHERA) for compliance with governing agencies

 

  • Manager of Design & Construction  (March 2019-October 2021)
    Milwaukee Public Schools – Facilities & Maintenance Services, MKE, WI
    -Supervised a diverse group of design professionals that included architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and environmental through team collaboration to support the department initiatives
    -Crafted annual operation budgets for the Design & Construction area through group discussion with the team to meet project and milestone objectives
    -Worked with administrators, community partners, public officials, etc. through meetings to improve working relationships amongst the leaders
