About Sai Siddarth Nichenametla:
I am currently pursuing a master's degree in robotics at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Alongside my studies, I am working as a part-time manufacturing automation engineering intern at Xylem. In this role, I've applied my expertise to design and automate a manufacturing unit for small cooler heat exchangers. I've utilized the Fanuc m710ic/45 manipulator for diverse operations such as welding, peening, expanding, spot facing, testing, and painting. My deep dive into robotics has honed my skills in ROS, Linux, Python, and C++. I've also become proficient in the nuances of robotic manipulations and simulations related to SLAM, path planning, tragectory planning using A*, Djikstra and RRT algorithm, localization using Markov's localization, and also the Probabilistic road maps, with hands-on experience in Gazebo, CoppeliaSIM, and Pybullet simulators. Before this, I was associated with TCS as an SAP Fiori Security Consultant. My notable project on collision avoidance for the Powerball manipulator, coupled with my contributions in path planning, motion controls using PID and Pure Pursuit, and the implementation of Markov localization, stands as a testament to my prowess in the robotics field. Further underscoring my qualifications, I hold certifications in AutoCAD, Solidworks, CATIA V5, and Ansys, which I earned from a reputable instructor in India. I've also successfully completed two levels of the SolidWorks certification program. Given my extensive skill set and experience, I am confident of my fit for this position.
Experience
Manufacturing Automation Engineer, Part Time-Intern, Xylem, Buffalo, United State of America, September 2023 – December 2023
