Olamide Crown

I am Dr. Olamide Crown, a passionate and accomplished biochemist, researcher, and educator dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in quality controls, drug discovery, pharmacology, and molecular biology. With extensive experience in academia and research, I have successfully led pioneering projects in cancer therapeutics, natural product discovery, and health disparities. My current research focuses on addressing critical challenges in hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and metabolic diseases through innovative research and collaboration.

Throughout my career, I have established state-of-the-art laboratories, optimized experimental protocols, and mentored numerous students and researchers. My expertise spans molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression, CRISPR-Cas9, enzyme kinetics, and advanced microscopy techniques. I have applied chemistry/analytical tools in small molecule analysis as well as in quality controls. I  have a proven track record of publishing impactful research, securing grants, and presenting findings at scientific forums. Beyond my technical skills, I am deeply committed to fostering learning and growth in others as well as work with diverse populations, leveraging my strong communication and leadership abilities to mentor and inspire the next generation of scientists. I am driven by a relentless curiosity, a love for discovery, and a dedication to making meaningful contributions to science and society. Currently, as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, I am building a cancer research lab and contributing to groundbreaking advancements in drug discovery. My ultimate goal is to merge my expertise and passion for innovation to create solutions that improve lives and address global health challenges.

With a proven track record in grant writing, laboratory management, and collaboration, my goal is to contribute to innovative research and development projects in the industry. I am eager to leverage my technical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to drive impactful solutions that improve lives and advance scientific progress.

I have Bachelor of Technology, Masters of Technology, and Ph.D in Applied Biochemistry. I did my Postdoc in Chemistry.
