About Mark Biletnikoff:

The artist was born in Louisiana and always had a drive toward the creative. Mark searched for avenues such as photography, painting, and drawing from age ten. Mark majored in Visual Art and Painting at Southeastern Louisiana State University and focused on his education. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design, obtaining a master's degree in Arts and Cultural Administration. Mark received a second master's in Preservation and Conservation Design. He was awarded the Make a Difference Endowment and admitted to the Tau Sigma Delta Society for Academics in Architecture and Allied Arts, the only accredited national honor society for architecture and design majors. Once he graduated, he set his sights on expanding creative expression in his home state of Louisiana. In 2005 Biletnikoff opened a small gallery and studio space near mid-city in Baton Rouge, showcasing emerging artists while simultaneously creating his artwork. Biletnikoff's work is exhibited in private collections across the United States, and he continues to work diligently, expanding his reach and creative work. His art sales help fund N the art space acting as a lifeline. He is invested in continuing this needed facility in Baton Rouge and promoting its diverse creative drivers on a personal level.

His current project, N the art space, was founded in 2005 and supported artist studio space and education. The complex, on average, houses 40 resident artists. The art space began as a mere 800 square foot space in 2005 and currently occupies a three-building 12,000 square foot facility in Bocage. In 2014, he spearheaded the creation of the Bocage Cultural District. This district is part of a state-certified contiguous area promoting cultural growth, sales tax incentives for artists, and historical preservation support.

He has diligently created an art destination and incubator. This art space is a refuge for many professional artists. This journey of determination continues to promote discovery and passion for hundreds of artists and small creative businessesMay 2022 marked 17 years of Mark Biletnikoff's vision to make a difference. Mark continues to maintain his passion for being an artist while encouraging others to keep their faith. Sustainability is key to upholding a sense and pride of place.

My ten years of experience in the Arts Administration sector builds bridges to non-profit organizations, local and state municipalities, community leaders and stakeholders, artists, and educators. 

Throughout my career, I have also volunteered for organizations, sat on local and state grant panels, and steered juried competitions as a judge and mentor. I have forever reached to strengthen cultural sustainability by utilizing an active and hands-on approach.

Education

My educational path is a planned progression toward supporting and connecting arts and culture. I do this through visual and performing arts, design, arts administration, and preservation design: every degree fortifies arts, culture, and anthropological connections. utilizing these as a focal point bolsters education and learning thorugh visual and physical connections to our environment and mental proceseses.
