Marie Quintanar

I am a sophomore at Tufts University pursuing a BS/BA in Quantitative Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship.

I am interested in exploring opportunities in Consulting, Investment Banking and Private Equity. In addition, I have extensive experience in C++, Java and Python, both from my education as well as the construction of my nonprofit Captio, and thus opportunities in the FinTech industry are also of particular interest to me.

Perkins School for the Blind: Volunteer Teacher’s Assistant    Boston, MA                        January 2019 - March 2020  

• Taught classes in Chinese and computer science to 40+ visually impaired students 
• Observed students’ needs in computer classes and designed my website Captio accordingly (see below)

Captio Online: Creator and Chief Web Designer    Boston, MA                                                           May 2021 - Present

• Graphically designed, created and launched web portal for the visually impaired, compiling WCAG compliant sites in one portal
• Partnered with Perkins, AudioEye,  CompanyX and Newton’s Carroll Center for the Blind to create the portal

Tufts University Alumni Association: Alumni Reunion Representative   Medford, MA                      June - July 2022

• Assisted Alumni Association leaders in organizing events for 500+ alumni from the classes of 1957 through 2015
• Organized alumni dinners, tours and panels  in over 15 locations across campus during three Tufts University Alumni Reunion Weekends 

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust: Financial Analyst Intern (Co-Op)  Bar Harbor, ME                      September - December 2022

• Oversaw the approval and organization of the Daily Cash Report, including debit and credit balances, using Xperience and organized and updated the FR2900 report of deposits and vault cash 
• Managed and analyzed quarterly reports from local and national commercial banks and shares the information with my superiors (earnings calls, earnings releases, efficiency ratios, total assets, net interest margins, return on average assets)
• Honed skills in Microsoft Excel and Office, as well as basic accounting, organization and documentation skills, analyzed the S&P 500 and learned to understand and uphold the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
