Maddie Osso

Recent graduate with a degree in marketing and fashion studies. Have always had a passion for fashion and eagerness to expand my knowledge on fashion history. 

I have been able to acquire an array of soft and hard skills from past internships. I am currently interning at Karla Otto in NYC, where I am enhancing my problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills through several daily tasks. I was able to exercise these skills in past internships as well. For example, I interned at Marina Maher Communications in the summer of 2022, and I was able to utilize the experience and knowledge that I obtained from that opportunity and apply it to my current internship. Aside from my more PR-centered internships, I also had a few internships that were social media-focused. Through these opportunities, I was able to exercise my creativity and learn what kind of content attracts certain audiences on social media. 

I attended the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. I took a variety of business classes that offered me a solid foundation of business knowledge that I have been able to apply to my real world opportunities. I also took several fashion courses such as Fashion Design, Fashion Costuming in Film, Business of Fashion, and an Intro to the History of Fashion. These classes broadened my understanding and altered my perception of the impact that fashion has had on the world in cultural and social contexts. I plan to use my knowledge that I acquired in these courses to assist me along my career journey and to continue to expand this knowledge by researching and asking question when I can.
