Lukas Majors

     I am currently a sophomore at Bradley University, studying Electrical Engineering and planning on going into the specific area of Radio Frequency technology. Beyond just fascination with the subject matter, I have also taken practical steps into learning what I can about Radio Frequency technology, largely with help from the current RF Professor here, Dr. Shastry, and our RF lab meetings. I am also the current President of Bradley University's Amateur Radio Club, and currently hold an FCC registered Amateur Radio license (Technician Level, callsign KE9DMB). This license helped me have a better understanding of what RF technology was. As a whole, I really enjoy the subject of Radio Frequency and plan to learn all I can about it. 

In terms of professional experience, I have acquired an FCC register Amateur Radio license. This license went in depth on the fundamentals of RF technology, along with specific FCC guidelines on what one can and cannot do with the license. 

My most relevant education would comprise of being a sophomore electrical engineering major, obtaining my Amateur Radio license, and attending weekly meetings with seniors in the Radio Frequency Lab to help with my understanding of the topic as a whole. During these lab discussions, I get to see seniors talk about different aspects of RF technology, and catch a glimpse into what their senior projects are. I am currently still learning all I can from this lab, and it has proved to be very insightful.
