Katiyana Brooks-Springer

I have volunteered at my Natividad Elementary school, supervising kids while they play in an afterschool program, and helping with homework since February 2016 in high school. I also volunteered at my local Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital gift shop. I helped with the cashier, stocked shelves, and cleaned/organized items they had delivered. I worked at Taco Bell in March 2018. I was a crew member, and I helped with cleaning/ wiping down tables, windows, and trays. I helped with taking out the trash, but also helped with cleaning the dishes for the dishwasher job. I left Taco Bell on April 9, 2018, based on bad management and coworkers. I worked for in-home support services as a caregiver on May 17, 2018, with my grandmother and her neighbor. My role was to cook/prepare food, do errands, and clean/taking out the garbage.

I graduated in 2017 from high school with my high school diploma. I attended Hartnell Community College in August 2019 and graduated from Hartnell Community College in May 2022 with an Associate's degree in Psychology. I transferred to Stanislaus UC, but the college experience only lasted for one semester. After my semester, I transferred to Southern New Hampshire University online from home. February 2023 is when I started classes, and I also graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology on November 1, 2024.
