 I'm an Oregon girl looking towards the east coast. With a decade of experience working with children of all ages! I have a full-time job with the ODHS Child Welfare, where I've seen both happy and unfortunate situations. Evenings and weekends, I nanny for an amazing family, but they no longer need extra help. I've witnessed their growth, smiles, and laughter, and it's truly rewarding. Being there for important milestones is something I cherish. Where I'm currently located, it's not ideal for me to nanny full-time as a 26-year-old living alone. I truly believe nannying is what I'm meant to do, I just need the right opportunity. Both my parents are elementary teachers, and I spent a lot of time in the classroom in my early 20s. While I considered going into teaching, I feel that I can contribute my talents and values more effectively with a family. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I was a primary school teacher’s assistant for 4 years, along with direct nanny experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children…engaging children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor games. Assisting with homework assignments and facilitated educational and developmental activities amongst the various ages.

The most important part about being a nanny…The most important part about being a nanny is being flexible and adapting to the preferences of the parents. Every family has their own unique way of doing things, and as a nanny, it's important to respect and accommodate their needs, because it’s all about the well-being of the children and open communication is key to safety and peace.

My experience with special needs children…For two years, I had the incredible opportunity to provide dedicated care for a young boy with autism. During this time, I actively studied various techniques to identify and implement the best strategies to support his unique needs.

My favorite nanny moment…One funny nanny moment I had was when the kids I was taking care of decided to give me a makeover using their art supplies. I ended up with a colorful face and crazy hair, but we all had a good laugh about it! 🎨😄
