Customer Service / Support
About Julie Thompson:
I help to run a body shop for wrecked vehicles to be repaired. I handle all the claims, cash deposits, payroll, P&L, assure all parts, materials etc. are going to the allocated job and the company is profitable.
Experience
I have worked in the automotive industry in the past doing advertisement in print publications as well as online for dealships, delivering the magazines to each on Thursdays and updating current inventory in ad. From there I became a RSM for a local real estate lending company. After successfully leading my sales team to 3rd in our market, I chose to accept an opportunity opening and running a Broker Shop that was part of a Real Estate Company and a Title Company. We’d be the 1st “One Stop Shop” in south Louisville. After years of success, I decided to sell my percentage of the business, to accept a position as a Property Manager and also opened a a competitive cheer gym in New Albany, In. I have always served or bartended on the side or as a 2nd job be it’s always been something I love to do. My next chapter would bring me to a company called Ricks Collision & Paint. They we’re looking for someone to help turn their failing business around as they hoped to retire and leave it to their daughter someday. I agreed to a 2yr contract that turned into me staying appropriately 9yrs. I immediately found that they had a substantial amount of materials walk out their door by their empoyees. I was able to stop this almost immediately by implementing a program to assign PO numbers to all parts and materials that were associated with that job and they had to sign everything out using that PO. I also had to let go and replace 5 employees. Once someone starts stealing, odds are they will find a way to steal again. I began training their daughter for my position, but COVID had hit, she had a pregnancy, a marrimage, another pregnancy and before I knew it I had been with them 7.5yrs. I completed her training and felt as if she was more than ready to take over in November 2022, and thats when I left. Since leaving I’ve pursued bartending full-time and also worked at UPS as a Driver Helper during the holiday season. I am now looking for a different position. I’m not one to sit inside a cubical all day, I love being out and about meeting new people and seeing new faces.
Education
I recently completed a 90hr course to obtain my real estate license in the state of Indiana.
