Josie Soares

My name is Josie and I am a mental health professional working as a BHT for over four years. I have been working in acute inpatient psych and have recently moved to Wilmington from Kansas City, Missouri. I am in search of a similar job so that I may continue my passion in helping those struggling with their mental health whilst feeding my other passion of living near the ocean. There is no greater purpose than helping others and I hope to continue to do so in an adolescent or pre-adolescent facility. Currently, I am trained in verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention training through MANDT. I am certified in BLS, First-aid, and AED. I am open to more than just my past experience though, so feel free to reach out!

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ottawa University and an Associate of Science through Fort Scott Community College. Currently, I am enrolled in the ADN program at Cape Fear Community College.
