Joseph Bonczek

I am currently a senior at Princeton University and I am set to graduate on May 30th. I grew up in Northfield, New Jersey, and attended St. Augustine Prep High School where I graduated with honors. I was a member of the varsity football team at Princeton University. During my time at Princeton, I engaged in community service focusing on sports where I volunteered as an assistant coach for my town's youth football team, and from my Sophomore through Senior year I was the Princeton Chapter President of Uplifting Athletes, a national organization that raises money for the rare disease community. My career focus is in Finance, and I am currently looking into the Wealth Management industry where I recently interned for Wells Fargo Advisors. My interest is the stock market, and I dedicate much time to research and broadening my knowledge of the market.

I am currently a student, so my professional experience has been through internships. My most recent internship was with Wells Fargo Advisors as a Brokerage Client Assistant. Here I worked for four months on a team within the Atlantic City, NJ Branch. I worked with the team’s advisors in the development of portfolio allocation strategies for clients through researching and analyzing equities, fixed income, and ETFs. I also collaborated with the advisors to develop a 401K plan for a business using resources to analyze and compare funds such as American Funds and T.Rowe funds. Along with this, I lead a prospecting campaign for the team targeting 401k rollovers. 

I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton on May 30th. I took economic courses such as Intro to Microeconomics, Intro to Macroeconomics, Ventures to Change the World, International Organizations, Quantitative Social Science, and Asian Capital Markets. I also conducted an Independent research project in my Junior year that used qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the recent increase in semiconductor trade between the United States and Taiwan and direct investments from the government in Taiwanese semiconductor companies. To broaden my knowledge on the industry I have taken the Financial Markets course from Yale University and Financial Analyst, Training and Investing course from Udemy on my own. My Senior Thesis is analyzing Congress members' stock trading, focusing on members who sit on committees in the House and Senate. I also plan on taking the SIE exam within the next month.
